Good luck with the rest of it Aussie.

Jen that sounds like a good a reason as any to save money for, it'll be a great achievement when you get your house. As for finding a good one, I found mine on the internet (I kid you not)
I met my fair share of !@!@s in the past, and my mates set me up with someone through a social network site, and despite not wanting to do it, bizzarely we hit it off and 4 years on we have a house together, 14 month old dd and planning the wedding.

Reading that it sounds fairytale lol, it;s not as I'm sure you know, but I am lucky with what I have now.

Have decided to try this trustedplaces reviews to get the amazon voucher. Have written 4 so only 11 to go. I will put that voucher towards something for a xmas pressie.

I'll pm you the site. I am very wary of internet dating as there is a lot of hype around it however I also know full well you can meet a wierdo in the street, in a bar etc too so I think it goes down to the individual.

I also have a 13 yr old dd too from a previous relationship. I'd gladly swap her for your six yr old lol.

Not sure I'd work in a bar either, but it's a good idea if you are a confident person I guess, but you would get the drunk ones and then be no better off lol

Well I always say you'll find someone when you least expect it, so I think the main thing is not to worry about it.

My spending today has been fairly bad too

- £27.97 sealife centre tickets
- £22 chinese
- £4.40 parking
- £6.50 ice creams

took picnic so saved a bit there but even so, back to it tomorrow.

yeah i was trying the finding someone where you least expect it but to be honest the only bloke i see is the postie! and he is over 50 i think!
i have done it and joined the site for £6 for a week! i will share my msn address with anyone who i like then i can carry on chatting for free. i hate paying to meet people it seems silly!

Wow Jen £6 a week!!! Whatever makes you happy though, and you can easily spend more than that a week by going out drinking etc when you are single and wanting to meet people so it's not that bad I guess.

Today's priorities for me are to write as many reviews on the trusted places site as I can to get that voucher. Then I can put it towards a xmas pressie and be one more down.

Decided to set myself a challenge or two each day to make some extra cash, and then if it results in real money to go towards total, all the better.

Also need to tidy the house when I get out of bed so see you all later. Have a good one

yukkibear i am only joining for a week contacting as many chaps that interest me then if they contact me i will give them my e mail address so i can talk to them for free so the £6 is a one off.
i thought today i would look at my plan a bit more long turn next month i should become debt free so time to plan savings! :p

i want to buy my house when dd starts big school at 11 years as then i can work more longer etc! she is 6 1/2 so i have 5 years to raise as much as possible. if i can fill my isa every year for 5 years that would be £3,600 x 5= £18,000:eek: wow!! plus interest and with no tax. my saving has always come before my debt payments so i have a bit saved already. i recon with interest etc in 5 years time that will be loads for a deposit!! of course i want house prices to come down too!!! last time the house i am in which is the one i want to buy was values 3 years ago it was worth £100,000 :o
