i really don't know what to get dd for xmas she has some sylvaians, playmobile, polly pockets, animal hospital, some games, loads of book, etc and she would rather go for a bike ride or do some cooking than play with the toys anyway!! I was talking to her today about toys and she wants some for christmas as she want stuff to unwrap and play with but she did say i can get rid of all her toys because she doesn;t play with ttem... do you think it is an emotional issue or is it normal for kids to not play with toys.... any suggestions or something to get her would be great!!

Evening all. CL don;t go through nectar if you're using vouchers as they wont pay on it, it's in their terms and conditions. Ipoints will pay on vouchers though.
Damn that for pointing that out. Guess I'll have to do without cashback this time then! Nowadays it feels odd to be buying something without getting cashback/using discount codes. Ahh well the vouchers were from surveys anyway so I can't grumble really
I'm gonna do some comps and *try* to have an early night... I can't remember the last time I went to bed before 3/4am  :rolleyes:0 -

Don't know what kind of bike your DD has, - You can get some really funky kids bike stuff in Halfords and (possibly) your friendly local bike shop!
I'm not kid but I'm always wishing I could put some of that stuff on my bikes! (I even bought a special bike to accessorise with streamers and spokey dokeys!!)
If you've already exhausted Halfords, google Ridelow - it's a bit grown up for someone who plays with Polly Pockets (which is why I don't go there much!:o ) but some of the accessories on there are great! (if expensive, but it's ideas!) I love the Neons you can get for bikes! Next time I'm at the shop, however I'll be asking if the I (heart) my bike bell comes in green!
And what about cooking stuff? Maybe an apron and a chef's hat - you can give them to her in the morning and she can use them if she wants to help plate up christmas dinner!! There used to be a kitchen gadget shop near me that I used to love when I was little, maybe there's one near you?
Don't know how old your DD is, but maybe it's about spending time with Mum and Dad for some reason? Or maybe she's just growing up? I can remember little kids toys appealing to me, but I'd got to the point where they were boring to play with! My Sister for years has only ever bothered with toys when she had friends over. Otherwise she watches TV or plays on her DS or Wii.0 -
Thanks for the suggestions.
I will go to the bike shop adn get lights and have a look to see what else i can find.
she is 7 in feb. I am a single parent and she does just enjoy time with me which i why she likes cooking because we do it together! great suggestions though!!
I am home from work already i lasted 1 hour and a 1/2 before they sent me home becuase my mouth was hurting!:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j
