not sure why yours is a different rate then jenjade... if you opened it in August then it should be 6.3% for one year, then it goes down to 4.something. I opened mine last month too.

edit: yep, just found this on their site:

Until the introductory rate offer ends, accounts opened with new money to Egg from 8 May 2008 receive an introductory offer rate of 6.30% gross pa/AER fixed for the first twelve months from the date the account is opened. (Paid annually). The standard variable rate for the account is currently 4.75% gross pa/AER.

I prefer Icesave and Kaupthing as they pay your interest monthly, but I think it's yearly for Egg.
