Jen your job sounds really interesting. I used to run a playscheme and really enjoyed it, funnily enough didn't get nervous meeting and greeting parents or dealing with ofsted, or being strong and in charge with the kids. Wierd isn;t it.

Hope you recover quicker on your own without dd, it's so much easier to chill without looking after someone else as well. I'm a really bad patient.

MM it's amazing isn;t it how many people suffer with depression or even have spells of it, but you wouldn;t know it or talk about it.

  • Hi all,

Read all your posts earlier... I bit the bullet and went to the open evening on my own! THANK YOU SO MUCH, honestly, if I hadn't posted here I'm certain I wouldn't have gone. I walked past about five times before I actually went in, had to sit down in the park because I thought I was going to have a panic attack... I was a jibbering wreck BUT I did it, and that's the main thing. I have been out of work and education for 18-months due to social anxiety and depression... it has taken me that long to buck up the courage... I'm going to enrol tomorrow afternoon and I start next Tuesday  :o :j

  • PS: I didn't realise there were so many of us who felt like this... in 'my' little corner of the planet, I know noone with anxiety. My family are all baulchy, confident people, sometimes I feel like I'm from another planet. So it is nice (not sure that's the right word... comforting is probably a better one) to know I'm not alone xxx
