Sounds like it could be a modem/network type card0

If the number 88 thing is a double seven segment display like this : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven-segment_display
Then it's likely to be a PCI diagnostic card. Like this : http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3589
I've never seen the point in them myself, but in times gone by, people used them to diagnose motherboard problems when something was up with the computer. The seven segment displays would output an error code, and there'd be a table you could look up somewhere that would explain what is going on.Russia is HERE0 -
Oh if its that then theres no point me moving it to another pc then, I just thought if it was anything useful I would move it as the pc its in is no good now.Thanx

Oh thats interesting it kind of makes sence because I took it to a shop to get looked at and when it came back I just noticed the light and I thought I had never seen the light before but couldnt be sure if the card was there before or not. Its possible that the shop left the card on the motherboard.
Thanx at least I know what it is nowThanx
