How far back do you have to report?
I dont have problems with neighbours nor they with me (as far as I know) but around 5 years ago there was a gang of kids from the street who caused lots of problems, loud noise, throwing stones, vandalising, smashing cars etc. Police were involved several times and as we had security cameras installed we tended to catch most of the trouble on camera and the police requested a few of these which they still have. We pressed charges against one of the kids (16) and they were fined £30 in costs to us. I still have panic attacks when I hear people outside despite there being no trouble with these kids for 4-5 years now but would I have to disclose this on forms when selling house? I originally thought not but if you have to report when police called on neighbours and some of these kids lived 3-4 doors away would this need to be disclosed? If they asked about alarm and cameras etc I had thought of telling new buyers I had the cameras installed as I was often in on my own and 'jumpy' after being mugged years back (different city, 400 miles away so nothing to disclose about that thankfully) - this is true but the cars being smashed and people in garden was the final straw to getting cameras but was hoping not to have to mention that part as the kids involved must be 20-21 now so not likely to be back roaming the streets in the same way.
