I got a mortgage in principle from Halifax yesterday. Where does it say B on the letter.
  • Its doesn't. The mortgage advisor told me today when I rang up.

I dont know how this affects things though? I was hoping that someone knew, as I was worried about putting in the full application in case we were declined.
  • B is a good score. What they ask for may depend on whether you are borrowing >75%. (or used to many moons ago).

If you are borrowing less than 75% then income proof is not required.

If you are borrowing more than 75% then income proof is required.
  • I dont suppose if you know what kind? Will it be just pay slips or will it be bank statements aswell?

It depends if you are having to use overtime or not.

If not then just your last monthly payslip (or 2 weeks if paid weekly)
  • The mortgage amount required is less than multiples without a bonus. It only equates to 3.5k a year. Or as I still earn a bonus will I have to send more?

If your income without a bonus is enough to cover the mortgage required you'll only need to send 1 monthly payslip
  • does been paid weekly go against you? Also from experience, if someone has been graded a B are they coming back requesting additional infomation further down the line?

Misscharlie - a B pass is fine. A+B passes form the majority and these normally sail through. It's the C pass where things are marginal and you get Halifax going through the case with a fine tooth comb.
