Installed RAM = laptop nothing

Today I installed more RAM onto my laptop BUT nothing happened so I thought I'd just swap the two RAM cards around and see if that works, this time my laptop won't even start (I put the old one into it's previous position, nothing) Please help!

Working again, just have to try with my new RAM again. I'll be annoyed if it's not compatiable as I checked both with the retailer and manufacturer.

Any luck, that memory should work.

Tried Crucial's and Kingston's site but only Kingston listed your laptop.

You could have faulty ram. It happens sometimes.

It's a worse story now.
Checked to see if the new RAM (B)would work in either side(have function to except two cards) nothing. Okay, I'll put the old one back(A) into it's usual place, nothing again and still nada. Been trying since yesterday for signs of life in my laptop.
Now A won't work as well as B.

Have just got the following message after many hours of turning the computer on/off:
Ready for EC/KBC update. Place EC/KBC update diskette in the drive, press any key when ready to process.

Please someone tell me what is going on?

I only wanted to install more RAM, unbelievable. Nothing was wrong before that.

A quick google found this. So make sure your TAB key is not stuck and try cleaning the keyboard.
