Click Here register or log in with The Times

An exotic land of ancient splendour, Egypt is famous for its towering pyramids, spectacular sphinxes and sweeping deserts. But there’s more to the country than just mummies and mystery. With clear seas, sandy beaches and year-round sun, it’s also a sensational holiday destination.

And The Sunday Times Travel Magazine has teamed up with Sovereign Luxury Holidays to offer readers the chance to win a week’s stay at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton, in Sharm el Sheikh. One lucky winner and a guest will enjoy VIP airport lounge hospitality in the UK before jetting off to this stunning Red Sea resort.

Hidden among tropical gardens, tranquil waters and cascading waterfalls, with views of the shimmering Red Sea, The Ritz-Carlton is the perfect place to relax and indulge. After your private transfer to the hotel, where you’ll be staying in a double room with a sea view, unwind in the beachside Arabian massage tent, lounge by one of the three pools, or sample the range of delicious cuisines in the award-winning restaurants.

With a diving centre, tennis courts, private beach and spa, The Ritz-Carlton promises to make your stay unforgettable. What’s more, Sovereign Luxury Holidays has also organised for you to experience the magic of Cairo with a day trip to Egypt’s bustling capital.

You’ll travel by plane to explore this must-see city, which fuses modern culture with ancient wonders such as the magnificent Pyramids of Giza, the incredible Sphinx and the fascinating collection of historic artefacts housed in the Egyptian Museum.

For your chance to win, simply answer the question below

Which ancient landmarks has Giza become famous for?

Answer: The Pyramids

Good Luck :D
