Selling a computer

I want to sell my computer and buy a laptop.
What is the best way to do this? Is ebay any good or is the local paper better? It is an e machine and good working order, but the DVD drive won't read any disks, it whirls when you put the disk in, but just won't acknowledge that a disk has been put into the drive. I am assuming it will be quite easy to fix, I just don't know how to do it.
Anyway any ideas for the best way to sell?
Many Thanks

Yeah installing a drive is a piece of pee... Its just a case of turning off power by unplugging everything, Take off case cover, Undo screws, slip out drive pop new one in
and whilst the covers off blow all the dust out with a can of compressed air and a paint brush.... Dont be to rough though
Ebay or local papers its upto you, Im lucky where I can use https://www.tradeit.co.uk0 -
Also try advertising at https://www.loot.com . Free for one issue and 2 days on-line. If not sold just resubmit your Ad (with a slight change in wording) for another free publication.0

Have you 2 optical drives or 1?
If one the above is correct.
If two, you should check whether the DVD drive is set to 'master' or 'slave'.
Your new drive should be set accordingly.
There are jumpers on the back of the drive which you set. Very Simple to do.0 -
