If you have a credit card receipt that is enough, it is a fallacy to think you need a till receipt, you just have to have something to show you purchased the item at the shop, even a check stub I believe.
Perhaps if you complained also, it would give both your cases extra strength.
This is true, I lost a receipt for a vax I'd bought at Asda and took in my bank statement to show the transaction date, they pin pointed the purchase from that, even though the total bill was for more than the Vax. Hope you get/got this sorted out.:A :
