Inermittent Browser problem

I hope someone out there can help with this for me as I'm bewildered although I'm not a technie.

On my laptop I run Vista.

When trying to browse the interest quite a few sites don't load, I just get a papge saying internet explorer cannot display page. Others are ok. for example. I can go onto ebay.co.uk but when I go to sign in the font is in times new roman and all the place where logos or images should be are displayed with a red cross - other times ebay says that my cookies are restricted and need changing.

The only things that have changed on my pc in the last week is that Skype and google earth updated themselves - I have now uninstalled them but the problem remains. Sometime even trying to get onto google brings up the unable to display page comes up again.

Can anyone helps. I know it's to do with the PC and not my isp or anything as my desktop pc is ok.

Thanks for any help you can give.

What's your computer setting regarding cookie handling?

From your menu bar, click Tools > Internet Options and then your Privacy tab. If the slider's on High or Medium, that might be your issue. Try changing to Low, see how you get on.
