I tried to buy a leappad yesterday in our local woolies but the till wouldn't accept the £10 voucher and the 10%.0

When I purchased mine yesterday they entered the £10 off manually. Assistant said the till wasn't accepting it as it had been programmed with the wrong expiry date.0

it contains
My First LeapPad (ages 3-5)(Pink)
Back Pack
3 books > Dora The Explorer, I Know My ABC's & My First Storybook
I added the items up on the Toys R Us website and it came to over £51, Woolies price was £26.96 inc voucher !
The £10 off can be used when you spend over £35 on any leapfrog products so good for stocking up on books etc, also if you spend over £50 you get a £5 gift voucher !
There is a Blue version that had Thomas instead of Dora
You can buy online https://www.woolworths.co.uk/leapfrog
I bought one at the weekend for £33 (£36 with 10% discount) and thought it was a good deal. Just got home and checked the forums and found this and amazingly found a woolworth book in a draw downstairs!
Guess where I will be going tomorrow lunchtime to collect my refund!
Thanks guys.0 -
I had a *heated* discussion in my woolworths because I was not allowed to use the £10 off voucher on saturday to purchase the leappad. I was told that I had to take the 10% and I couldn't use the other voucher with this. So after explaining that I didn't want to use the 10% off just the £10 off was told come back tommorow when the 10% offer is over. So what the manager of this store was saying was...
If there is an offer like 10% off everything then you can't use any other vouchers. What rubbish. I think I will have to complain about this one.0 -

You could use the £10 + 10% off online so i presume HQ dont have a problem with it.
But if you read the voucher it says "This coupon cannot be used in conjunction with selected special offers or discount cards" so maybe thats why he wouldnt let you use it.0 -

If I was only allowed to use one voucher I wanted to use the £10 off as this is more than 10% (£3.69). I did not have a problem with not getting 10%.
The problem was that they said I could only use the 10% and if I wanted to use the £10 I would have to come back some other day! This is my complaint.
The manager more or less said that no vouchers could be used on 10% day, even if the voucher was greater value than the 10%. You could not choose which to use.0 -

I had a similar problem in my local branch and as they only had it in the wrong colour anyway (I was willing to put up with pink as I don't think my 6 month old would mind that much!) I told them what they could do with it, came home & ordered the correct colour one online and got both the £10 & 10% off. I wasn't the only one instore who was complaining, how diffculit would it have been for the maanger to find out if it really was the case online & adjust his policy accordingley? He lost more than just my custom.Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p
