clearing out old stuff on my pc, i noticed the following items..
not sure if leftover from deleted programs, oor something more sinister- should i leave alone, or get rid? no info when checking each file's properties.
..
file name / size / details
'~' -175kb, last modified in 2005. (no .suffix at all!..)
asasa.exe -1kb, 7/6/08.
syst.exe - 1kb 7/6/08.
uncomp.tmp - 13kb, 2004

If you ever need to check if a file is safe, upload it onto Jotti, which scans it with several different programs and lets you know if its safe or not

You probably need to do a full AV and antispyware scan, it is likely you have other infections.
An absolute necessity I'd have thought.
FWIW the ~ file is probably due to this:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=830921
and, if so, is nothing to be concerned about.Stompa0
