Options
Hi,

I am desperate for help I have a puppy who is not yet house trained and wee's in the kitchen. Everytime the floor is cleaned, anti baced and then moped with bleach or disinfectant or both.

Well I just can't get rid of the smell. I have taken up and thrown away the kickboards!! I have moved all the appliances and cleaned under neath them and still the smell remains.

Its just in a couple of places but even with air fresheners on permentaly on I an still smell it and I hate cooking or eating anything from the kitchen!!!

Any suggestions.......................

I use Zolflora, but don't use bleach or anything with ammonia, as your puppy will continue to use those spots to mark because of the smell.
  • Hi Bunny,

I have been using Zoflora, but the smell still liners. I think some how it has gotten into the cupboards as in soaked into them. Just not sure how????!!

Or how to get rid of it!!!!!

I've had good results with Vet Remedy Odour Eliminator - bought from a Vet wholesaler, so you could maybe ask your Vet if they stock it?
If you can't get that there are lots of similar products so ask for a biological odour eliminator at a pet shop.
Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree! :D

I would have crated him to be honest. Most dogs wouldn't soil their own beds and a crate is great for toilet training and if he/she did wee/poo in the crate then at least it's only confined to the crate and not the house.

    hi butterfly lady
i have not posted before but i was lurking and thought i would registrar & reply as i remember this nightmare.
have you tried vinegar. This is what we used when we trained our dog. apparently it is one of the only things that get rid of the smell which deters the dog doing it again, seemed to work for us.
just dilute a half an egg cup full in a half full washing up bowl and give a good wash.
    good luck
