Sharm el Shiek - Visa Question for onward travel

Hi there

Going to Egypt in October, spending the first week in Sharm, I am aware this is a free zone so do not need an entry Visa, but I will be flying to Cairo/Luxor week 2 so I will need a visa for these areas.

Do any of you know if I can get a visa for this part of the trip upon arrival at Cairo bearing in mind I will be taking a domestic flight? Or are they issued upon departure at Sharm? Any advice would be appreciated! If no response received, I will contact the Egyptian consulate later, thanks:o

Thanks

If you want to travel onwards to Cairo you need to get the full visa on arrival at Sharm.
  • Hi Just got back from Sharm. As others have said get your visa on arrival in Sharm, but don't join the big queue they try to make you join, all of the kiosks along that row do the visas. Much quicker to use one of the local ones.
