Advice re home wireless set up

This was posted earlier in the middle of another thread...but has disappeared off the radar screens! So starting again.....
I am considering setting up a wireless network at home for a system comprising a pc, which is located near my ntl cable modem, and 2 laptops - ordered but not yet arrived - both of which are wifi enabled. Following on previous comments, I see that there is no need (and shouldn't be!) for my pc to be wirelessly connected.
I would like to use a wireless router called KCorp KGL575 - here is a link to the technicals
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/tg/stores/detail/-/electronics/B0007N6ZI6/system-requirements/ref%3Ded_tec_dp_2_1/026-4633603-0313239
My cable modem is currently connected to my pc via a USB connection. I have also read/seen that ideally the modem should be connected via an ethernet link to the pc. The pc does not have an ethernet adaptor card but I can install one (any preferences/suggestions?) - a non wireless one! (that would work well with the KLG 575 router, which is specified at 108g).
The ntl modem has both a usb socket (used currently) and an ethernet socket.
Assuming I fit a suitable ethernet card into my pc, would the set up then be:
i)ntl cable to my ntl modem
ii)ntl modem to KLG 575 Router (via ethernet wire link)
iii)KLG 575 router to a) - my pc via wired ethernet link to a newly installed ethernet card and b) - to the 2 new laptops via wireless links
Any advice/views?
Thanks

Yeah sounds like you have everything covered. The key point is making sure your modem has an ethernet port so that it can plug into your router, which you've got covered.
Nice choice of router too. Got the KCorp KLG-575 myself. Brilliant piece of kit for the price. Hopefully shouldn't be too tricky to setup, jump on the forums if you have any problems."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -

Thanks - it looks as if that piece of kit is being discontinued - any supplier whose got them (many seem to have no stock at all of KCorp stuff) has put it in their clearence sale! I see from KCorp's site that they know longer provide a technical service......all rather ominous signs! Anyway...I guess you pay your money and take your choice. Less than £36 delivered can't be bad!0 -
Yeah noticed that with the KLG-530 (Wireless Card), as I wouldn't mind another. It seems as if it's only the Gold Series that is being discontinued, the Silver series is still quite widely available. Not sure why.
I've read they're focussing elsewhere hence cutting off technical support. Don't think you should need it though, and for £36 from Amazon (I paid £45 for mine!) it's a bargain for what you get."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0
