Car Insurance Mistake

I've made a mistake on my car insurance. Yes, it's ALL MY FAULT!
I honestly don't know how i've done it, but Norwich Union, who i am with at the moment, have me down for having 4 years no claims bonus! Infact I have 5 years no claims.
They will change my certificate if i can prove that it's 5 and not 4!
I think i was with Budget when I had my accident in 1999. But not 100% sure! I don't have any paper work on it! Is there a way I can find out?
This all came to light as my insurance runs out tomorrow. Have 4 years no claims make my insurance £383, with 5 years it's £189! I am so silly!!! I swear it's having kids that's done it for me. lol. Any advice would be greatly received.
Thanks

Can you email them and ask if they have any information on you? Any chance that you still have the policy somewhere in the house?0

It is VERY odd that 5 yrs vs 4 yrs makes that much difference ... as most companies give maximum NCD of 60% for 4 yrs in any case, and the few which give more at 5 yrs would only give 10% more at the most. Are you sure about your figures?
If you had your last accident in 1999, I presume it was very late in the year (ie. after 31 October)? Because otherwise if your renewal is in October 2005, you would have 6 years NCD not 5 in any case.0 -
Thanks, yes it was in late November when I had my accident.
Who are the companies that give a discount on four year rather than 5? Maybe i should just go with them with my new insurance rather than try and find out who i was with 5 years ago!!
OH deary me!!! lol0
