I need a new tv, but haven't got much money - about £200 would be the maximum I could spend. 21" screen or bigger.Obviously that rules out any of the new ones.In traditional tvs the choice now is limited and widescreens feature a lot.
What are the benefits of a widescreen tv? Do I want one?
Anyone with any ideas or reccomendations - info much appreciated.
thanks

We got our 28 inch wide screen from asda £138.00 that was two years ago and we have not had any problems, when the guarantee is up the manufacturer usually offers an extended guarantee.Tesco had cheap televisions in last week, cant remember how much, check out their website there might be extra club card points.0

I have a 28" square TV, I like it better, HOWEVER a lot of the programs are broadcast in wide and so a lot of the words and credits etc are off screen, no doubt some of the picture too.NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -

I have 2 Pacific 28" from Asda and they have been great. One went on the blink after 23 months and it was replaced, no problem.
If you aren't totally committed to a widescreen, Sainsburys have a 21" Bush TV with teletext, on offer, at £79.95. Alba DVD player for £19.99, too!"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0
