Is a credit card or loan an option when broke and facing a PCN deadline
Hello Money Saving Experts!
I think I may have an insurmountable cause here!
okay here goes...
I have four outstanding PCN tickets, all of which have to be paid within less than 2 weeks time. Three of the PCN stand at £60 with one at £40.
I tried to apply for a second payment plan as I could not meet the original payment plan date. I have since spoke with the PCN office last Saturday morning and they told me to pay the full amount in 20 days time, otherwise I will be riddled with NTO letters.
However, one of the four letters received detailing each PCN and the amount owed should say £40, not £60. Looks like there trying to administrate my backside into submission with an additional £20!
Well for the sake of argument, what I would like to know is, since I can't pay this all off on my own back at the moment, is it wise to consider asking for a loan or credit card to help pay these PCN's off ??
Or, perhaps I should appeal against them outright since I have already paid in excess of £700 in the last two years on PCNs (- i know i know, you absolute twonk!!). :T
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Ps.
I live 5 miles outside the city center, which does not qualify me for a residents permit

hi, yes i could! but, the embarrassment of having to ask, then when friends or family then say, "what is it for", it is the most dumbfounding money advance you can possibly ask for! :rotfl:
i don't have a credit card at the moment, since I only finished paying off my last one in April, so i doubt I will be accepted for any because of credit rating

i agree with pew pew pew lasers because most pcn's are not worth the paper they are onthere or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff0

if you got the tickets fair and square pay them with credit card and then pay the money off the card asap.
if you didnt get them fairly contest them
It annoys me when people squirm their way out of tickets because the warden or what ever got the spelling of Peugeot wrong0 -

It isn't squirming. The same laws used to prosecute people can also be used to defend people. You should be more annoyed at the councils who are incapable of following simple legal instructions. There are no excuses.0 -

I understand, but if i park on a yellow line and get a ticket, i would just pay it rather than looking for a way to get out of it0 -

Its about money saving, not about your moral high horse.0 -
all we are saying ,it that some thing may look right even sound right put are not legal under british law
and a spelling mistake comes under the slip rule in law on a legal pcn/nip
and on the moral high ground your coming with ,if the pcn was given for parking on a yellow line/lines or red route then it's very good chance it's legal and it has to be payed put if it's given by a carparking company it is almost certain it's not enforcible in law and nothing more should be done about it
and the site in earlier post will tell him that
i know it's anoying and it seem that poeple get off pay for thing that they have done wrong put why should we pay ower hard ernd money to companys that put a sign up thats not enforcible and then demand money, would you line the pockets of criminals thats all most of these companys arethere or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff0
