Re-Using Old credit card accounts after discharge

In theory that is correct tiger if you declared them in your SOA as you should have, although if they where zero at the time you can be forgiven for forggeting too.
Whether the creditors would allow the accounts to be used would depend on if they knew of your BR and more to the point cared:rolleyes:
But the theory stands the contract behind those accounts should either no longer exist or are the liabilaty of the OR now so in theory at least you should not use them without the owners permision, wich is the OR
Thats the way i see it anyway
edit- by owner i mean liabilaty although they are a seperate issue really it amounts to much the same thing in my viewThats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all …………. 0 0

Perhaps not quite the same issue, but I didn't declare my Next Directory account when I went BR because there was a zero balance, and it wasn't "obtaining new credit" which you aren't allowed to do while going through BR. I use it now on a small scale to help re-build my credit rating. If you did include your card in the BR then I think you may have trouble using it but if they haven't closed your account then that's up to them. You are allowed to obtain credit now you are discharged, but obviously they may refuse.AF days in Feb 2010 - 2 :A

Oh i like next directory, they give you things with no credit agreemant (well used too i would like to think they have learnt that lesson by now:rolleyes: ), then wonder why you dont take them seriosly when they threaten you with legal action:p But thats a whole differant thread;) :rotfl:Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all …………. 0 0

Maybe you should rather be asking yourself, DO YOU REALLY WANT ANY CARDS AT ALL??????????
Not preaching here, but remember how easy it was to get those cards into trouble before, it can easily happen again - and yes I am speaking from experexperience. I for one will not be having a credit card again.
 good luck
 cheers

No need to shout in your post. I'm sure the OP understands what you are saying without resorting to capital lettersDeepinthedwang wrote: »Maybe you should rather be asking yourself, DO YOU REALLY WANT ANY CARDS AT ALL??????????

Does that mean I could use my Kays one after discharge to try and slowley re-build my credit rating then? I have had anything on it in about a year but it would be nice to know!Bankruptcy Supporters Club No.1790

Isn't re-using old credit card accounts the financial equivalent of sex-with-your-ex? (ie hugely tempting but doomed to end in acrimony.)
