I have just had a 6mtr X 4mtr lounge walls and ceiling skimmed over. Artex on the ceiling. Dado rail and mouldings on the walls were taken off so I got the lot done. £485, took 2 and a bit days.
My friend drowned in a bowl of muesli.
He was pulled in by a strong currant.
  • we are due to have our kitchen and hall skimmed, all i have to do is knock off the excess artex so its smoother for the plaster to be put on.

If it is not too thick then you can use a scraper and a steam wallpaper remover it comes off fine I know because I have done it as we couldn't afford to have it plastered
Remember every waking moment is a chance to turn it all around.;) Knowledge is the key to respect.

  • Adivce above good, but prior to appling the skim coat spray the are with a liquid PVC to ensure a good key and it make it more workable. If you want to post private message fell free I can pass on a contact number if your in the North West

Unless you live in a house that has huge ceilings and they are very high then that price is a rip off, average size room 14x14 about £240 max each.
