You could of course, buy a more expensive router with stronger coverage: Netgear-DG834PN-RangeMax-MIMO-G-Wireless 65 pounds.
Add another 17 pounds for a compatible adaptor for your PC.
Then we are not sure if your laptop has a built in wireless card. If not, that another 17 pounds for an adaptor or you can purchase a wireless card(looks and works better).
Wireless card option for laptop.
'Built in' version for PC. Cheaper refurbished items available on the website.
So at least 82 pounds.
On the other hand you can probably get a cheaper model and adaptor for 40 pounds or so, but it may or may not do the job.
All adds up.
