In light of FXSTI's fantastic £5000 win
( and a couple of other recent ones.) I thought it would be fun to have a post where people can say what they have spent their prize money on - big and small amounts.
I'll kick off with my story.
I won £5000  in a "Maxi Monthly Draw" back in the early 90's when competitions were mostly done on postcards...(showing my age now) and I was living in Ireland
We were about to build the 2nd half of our house there ( long story!) so I used £3000 towards the building which meant we had to borrow £3000 less making that bit of the money worth over £4000 because we had to pay interest on £3000 less ( if you get my drift)
I gave 300 to my mum and 300 to my ex's mum, paid a few bills and the rest we used to pay for a FAB 8 day holiday in Cyprus for me, hubby and our 2 children..
So how about you? what have you done with your prize money??

My biggest cash win to date (notice the to date because I am planning on winning more:rotfl: ) has been £500 from the Virgin Radio comp back in April and this was used to fence between us and the neighbours (and unruly relative children), so that we can sit out on our decking without being heckled.

The most i've ever won was £25 from Real People. It went straight into the house deposit savings, which is incidentally just going through now!0

I recently won £1000 with That's Life magazine, we are going to Florida in December so it is going towards paying off the holiday.
Biggest win ever was £32,495 with the lottery. We gave money to all family members, went to Florida, paid of debts, paid of a debt for mil. Best thing of all, I was able to start my family as I could take maternity leave and not worry about money for baby items and not having a second wage coming in whilst I took 6 months leave.:wave:0 -

I won £975 on Real Deal a few months ago and spent it like this:
A fireplace (bought in the Homebase sale) to fill the gaping hole in our living room wall
5 days in sis-in-law's caravan in Norfolk
£150 on a family meal out for DS's 21st birthday
A silver ring for me
Redecorated our bedroom
A little toward a camcorder (I'd been saving to buy one already)
£150 still to spend

I'm with SkintBride, I've never won any money, but if it's less than £15K it'll be swallowed by debts! Oh, the idea of being debt free... That would be better than any holiday!ITV Winners Club Member (106)
