Question is why do you need to order £2500 in currency online? It would be far cheaper to use either of the debit cards to withdraw the currency from a foreign ATM.

I think you might be safe with BoS, I can't see the charge specified on their website (as was shownb in my Cahoot posting above). Also found the above article that specifies that they absorb it.0 -
That article is dated 2003 when BoS and Halifax issued Switch cards. Since then they have changed to Visa Debit cards (as noted as forthcoming in the article) and will now pass on the Visa interchange fee as all other banks do except for Nationwide.http://www.independent.co.uk/money/invest-save/buy-foreign-currency-on-a-visa-debit-card-and-your-pockets-will-be-travelling-light-582197.html

dazza.mk, thanks for that, I eventually rang BOS and was assured that as long as the purchase is made from a UK site no charges would be made.See my post 2 then
Nationwide VISA you will get higher interest charges
Cahoot Debit you will proabbly get a 1.5% VISA Network cash withdrawal charge. (above)
So I'd personally double check BOS as they are probably the cheapest option (couldn't see anything in their fees - but am familiar with Cahoot , not so with BOS)
However in the light of others replies I am still not sure!0
