Nationwide Credit Card - How many days for payments to clear?

I made an online bill payment from a Natwest account to pay off a Nationwide Credit Card on 5 August 2008. Does anyone know how long payments typically take to appear on one's online statement?
I called Nationwide earlier today and they indicated that no payment had yet been received so am worried that it has gone in to the ether.
Any help gratefully received.

The usual advice is to allow five working days.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0

Interesting because it only takes 3 working days to make a payment from a Natwest account to a Halifax credit card.
The other reason I'm worried is that the person I spoke to on the phone at Nationwide claimed he couldn't see the payment on his systems (i.e. he seemd to be saying that the payment hadn't arrived yet, claiming it only takes one day usually).0 -
Ways to pay (and the number of days each method takes) are shown on the back of your Nationwide monthly statements. For online payments, you're asked to allow five working days.
It's only two days since you paid your bill, so I wouldn't panic yet

Thanks for that - I can't check the back of my statement (one of the downsides of going for the paperless option). I'll keep an eye on my account.0

I have thrown myself on NW's mercy before with this, when there has been a problem with payment but it's clear I've made an effort they have given me the benefit of the doubt. Might be worth trying if it doesn't go through in time...0
