sat nav req with orlando maps on, cheapest please

as the title says could someone point me in the direction of a sat nav with maps of florida on it.

I hired a car in florida last Autumn you have the option to have sat nav with them as part of the hire if you require one. I chose not to as you can pick up that many maps anyway from places so didn't need a sat nav myself & it didn't take me any longer to find a place either.... (as I see it the extra money what it'd cost anyway why not use that for more enjoyment elsewhere.....)

The only thing I can suggest is waiting until you're in Florida and going and buying a normal SatNav from the local Wal-mart :rotfl:

I'm not sure if current UK SatNav machine companies sell "add-on" packs for other countries (I know they do some EU countries, but not sure about the US), but it could be worth checking on websites such as TomTom etc.

Buy one from Wal-mart when you get there - it bound to be cheaper than buying maps from Tom-tom

I have a Garmin 300 (£100) and you can order sd memory cards for all of north America for £99. However have a look on e bay and they can be picked up for approx $20 via bulgaria- obviously copies. So i will be taking my own sat nav with me.

I used my UK TomTom.

You can buy their SE USA map for £25 from their website.

I grudged paying the $12 a day from the car hire place but got lost going from the airport to the villa. Bought one from Target supermarket the next day and it was brilliant. One less thing to stress about. Anyway it was $80 for a tomtom one 130. I have seen a few on ebay from people returning from holiday. These are more reliable than the dodgy ones from hong kong.

I'm sure of you buy from Walmart or Costco you can take the item back for a refund under their 30 day money back guarantee. Did the same thing a few years ago with a cell phone from 7-11.
