odd question about bank charges
pinkberry21
My bank have levied charges against me which I am disputing.
In the letter it does not mention when these charges will be removed from my account and I have had no follow up letter advising me of this.
Are they allowed to do this?

Sorry, it's not quite clear from your post exactly what's going on; When you say you're disputing the charges, do you mean you've gone down the route of filing the official paperwork. Also, what does the letter from the bank say, is it the case that they've agreed to refund your charges but just haven't given a time frame yet? If so I'd say give them a call to talk about it, and ask for anything that's agreed over the phone to be confirmed in writing.
If you're going through the litigation process then it's harder to say without knowing quite what stage you're at.
TBH a little more detail about what's going on is probably necessary if you want any useful feedback.
In general though you might be better off asking your questions either in the "Reclaim your bank charges" section of this site, or over at the consumer action group -a site that more or less specialises in this process.
Hope that's some help
Not filled out official paper work at all.
They have not even taken the charges (£95) out of my account yet. I have had a letter advising me of what the charges are but it made no mention of when they will be removed from my account.
Do they need to inform me first?0 -

The date for charges are probably in the T&C's. Which bank is it?Conjugating the verb 'to be":
-o I am humble -o You are attention seeking -o She is Nadine Dorries0
