30th Birthday holiday help needed

Hi all

I turn 30 next year (not until September 29th) and was going to have a party and then thought whats the point as its over in a few hours and costs a fortune, then I considered going on a Butlins adults only weekend but to be fair although I would be the ;life and soul of the party anywhere I can party anytime, I want to do something special.

Anyway, I was thinking of going New York with my Mum and 2 sisters for a long weekend, we could go sightseeing (which I love) and shopping. Does anyone know the rough cost of a 3/4 night break????

Also is there anywhere I'm missing? I dont do laying about on the beach and prefer stuff to do to keep me occupied, I even considered Las Vegas but have to consider money. DP would need to take a few days off of work to watch the kids.

Any advice would be brilliant.

Yeah, he boring, he didnt even want to come to the party I was gonna have, although I may consider getting sister to babysit and me and other half going New York or somewhere, just book it and then he has to go lol. I shall work that out when I work out roughly how much it will cost, is it worth going in a travel agents and asking?

hey.. i'm doing NYC for my 30th... in March though....

check out the NYC thread at the top of the forum for loads of info on NYC..

as for basic costs... £100 a night for a hotel will give you something reasonable, and around £300 - £350 for a return flight

Spending... budget at least $100 a day...

My 30th,I went to Tunisa with 5 friends, the whole hotel got involved, as it was the last batch of English guests, the four women (my friends husband refused to leave his room) we got dressed up in fancy dress, the whole hotrel got involved, setting sily challanges, my one friend was dressed asa fairy (at the time she was early 40s), all the Tunisans come and sat there children on her taking photos, as they thought she was some miracle, (her husband who hid), I ended up in a swimming pool dressed as a St Trianans, Im sure the video must of ended up on Youve been framed.

What Im trying to say is do something for you, what you want and wants going to make you happy, not being selfish, but the 30 is the new 40.

(Ive got 3 yrs to 40 and fancy Las vegas........need a millionaire or a lot of dreaming!!) x
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
