Has anyone here been to Haven at Burnham on Sea this year? I have read mixed reviews online and wondered if anyone could share an up to date experience?

Hi,
I stayed there last autumn on a sun weekend. We had a brilliant caravan, it looked brand new. However, our friends was less than satisfactory - cigarette burns on the lounge furniture and rather outdated. We didn't use any of the facilities as we tend to occupy ourselves so can't comment on them sorry.0 -
We went last summer, stayed in gold caravan which is now prestige I think. Certainly was not gold, we go every year to different sites, no way that was the best. Family in the next caravan had several domestics then one night another lady was outside crying loudly and I stupidly went to see if she was ok, when she turned towards me she had a rather large kitchen knife. Scared the s!?t outta me. Bit to action packed for our quiet family so we went to Quay West this year, we like Doniford too but this years was the best ever.Too many children, too little time!!!0

We went and the site is ok. Personally we didn't like the area, far to seaside cliche for us. We kept travelling up to Bristol for things to do.
Wouldn't go back. We did like weymouth haven though. A great site and great entertainment.
Hope I've helped. Or you could visit here in sunny cornwall. :T:T Great places here.0 -

we have just returned from 7 days at Burnham and we loved it, We have been there several times and only every had 1 problem which they were quick to put right. I have 3 children from 16 months to 11 years and all 3 didn't want to come home. Burnham itself is a bit dated but you are not far from Taunton and Weston super mare.0

There is a bus that stop on the haven site that goes to weston super mare and taunton. The nearest train station is in weston which is about 8 miles away, i have never used them but the are very regular and i know that tourist information have the times they go to and from the station, their number is 01278 787852.Hope this helps.0

We got back from there yesterday.
The nearest train station is 'Highbridge & Burnham on Sea'. Its only a mile or so, cost about £5 by taxi. There is a bus that stops at the park gates that goes to Westerern Super Mare, or if you go out of the park and along the seafront to the town there are more buses. They were a good price if you want to go far - £10 for a family ticket for all day. Thats with First buses.
If you go I would suggest going to Somerfield just along the seafront road rather than using the onsite overpriced limited stock shop.
Our caravan was a Prestige and was very nice. The carpets were poorly fitted but it was all clean and had everything we needed. The oven was better than mine at home!
The onsite entertainment was good. You just have to read the entertainment guide, and ask questions so you don't miss anything. They have a great group of funstars there- though I am aware some have been moved around recently so maybe earlier in the season they weren't so good.
I would say I wish I had a car, we wanted to go to cheddar but it would have been a long journey-I think 2 buses, the first taking 50 minutes.Wookey hole is easier to get to. Brean is ok,and there is a leisure park there with lots of rides.
If you want to ask me anything else please pm.0
