Halifax - Always Gives Extra Problems

in Credit cards
Couple of years ago I signed up for a Halifax credit card at 5.9%. Great I thought - transfered all my debts, plus used it for new purchases. Then WHAM they up the rate to 10.9% and thats backdated for the existing debt as well. Thanks Halifax you really know how to look after your customers.
When I asked them for an explanation all I got was `There are various factors to consider when setting the APR`. I asked for further clarification and an assurance that it would no go up by another 5% in the near future but they were not able to give me an answer to either question!
Bottom line is they are suffering for their greed and are having to pack back unreasonable bank charges but are expecting me to pay for it! - snotty staff on the phone only make the situation worse.
I ditched them imediatley
ps. Is anyone actually taken in by the Always giving you extra tagline?
