How to find my old CC account details?

Hi

I used to have a Barclay Card afew years ago that all went pear shaped with horrible charges. (My £500 debt went to over £900 within the space of about 4 months!)

Im following the 'Reclaiming Credit Card Charges' guide at the moment but need some advice.

I have no record here of my old Barclay Card account details, so therefore cannot put those details onto the first letter im sending off for my charges.

Does anyone know a way that I can acquire those details?

Would it be as simple as just ringing up Barclay Card??

Could be. If they did a personal details search they could bring up your account. However, if the account is closed it's unlikely they could reissue the card or statements. You're unlikely to be given the old number verbally over the phone either for security reasons.

Pop into a branch with some photo ID and proof of your address and you can get it there as they won't pass over any information over the phone.
