    Great.....
I have around 6 payments that are ongoing that I will have to now call and change.. I think I will cancel.

As well as having new cards/pins floating around the Postal System.

    I don't like Barclays anyway.

I think I will dump mine as well.
  • Will my account number be changing?
Yes. In order for your account to be moved to Barclaycard and for us to provide you with all of the great new benefits, we will need to change your account number"

looks like i,ll have to ring setanta sports and inform then...wish me best of luck..lol

  • Well I've had no letters yet, or a new card for that matter; and I can't login online either.

I did notice that they say Morgan Stanley cardholders will receive all current benefits "and more". Apart from the 0800 number - is that not a benefit?
  • I have had my new card, and pin number. Old card stopped working on the 22nd, new one started on the 22nd.
  • I've had trauma this weekend with them changing over the cards. I went away last Tuesday and card had arrived, but not the PIN (as they were not sending those out until Saturday!). The old cards were switched off at midnight on Sunday evening and the new ones became active.

I called Barclaycard to see whether I could change the PIN over the phone (no, because I hadn't received a PIN), whether I could use the existing PIN (no), whether I could get the PIN sent to my relatives house in London (no). Barclaycard decided it wasn't their problem and said I needed to talk to Goldfish and arrange with them to get my existing card extended. The Goldfish representative said "there are hundreds of people who are affected by this change, who are on holiday, why are we going to keep just your card open" ... have to admit this did cause me to pause, indeed took my breath away. I gave them my sob story - I had arranged to take my mum and family for a very expensive meal in London to celebrate a major birthday milestone (which I was paying for), but still no joy ...

I have been so annoyed with the whole process, I have also decided to cancel my account.
  • That's odd - I've received nothing in the post, and am still using my Morgan Stanley card.
