Hi
I recently got a 128mb mp3 player as a b'day prezzie.
Now normally u can on average about 20 tracks on, however, using DbPowerAmp i've managed to get almost 50 tracks on and the quality is still good and you cant tell. The problem is, the software has run out.
Question is..... could anyone recommend any good mp3 compression software plz ?
Thanks

Exact Audio Copy (it's free). Arguably the best, as it rips a near 100% accurate copy from the cd before converting it. CDex is a good recommendation though as EAC can be quite complex."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0

dBpowerAMP is forever; http://www.megaupload.com/?d=WXOMNBHH
You can get any codecs you need for free from the website.0 -
I believe dbPowerAmp recently started charging for the use of the MP3 encoder, since MP3 technology is patented and software using it often has to pay royalties.0

ye, because i had it for about a month and then it starts asking to register and i couldnt use it otherwise. never mind there's plenty of alternatives i suppose0

Have you used the download that I have provided for you?0

I use musicmatch. That rips albums to mp3 and gives you the option of bitrates down to 64kbs. ('options' 'settings' 'recording')
http://www.musicmatch.com/download/free/?OS=pc&MODE=input&DID=999991574&OEM=CJJI'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
