help with overdraft

My natwest student account was opened 2 years ago and they want my overdraft paid back although i am still at uni they have hassled me into repaying £50 a month which i cant afford how can i change the payments to be made its now been passed to debt company not through bank

Hi,
If it's been passed to a DCA you should easily be able to negotiate lower monthly payments through them. Just call them and I'm sure they will accept what you offer.

If you are unsure as to why they wanted the OD back, it is usually because you didn't make 3 payements per years into the student account i.e. student loans went into another current account.
It is technically possible to open a sudent account with another bank, use their OD to pay back this OD and then keep the new account active so they don't demand the OD back!They say you can't put a value on life... but I live it at half price!0
