Upgrade of Kitchen Appliances

I am about to upgrade my kitchen appliances(Electric Oven, Gas Hob and extractor). I would appreciate any comments on the many manufactures who's products are availiable.
Thank you.

    Hello swifty

    Welcome to the MSE site.

It would help if you could tell us where is 'this area'?

    Kind Regards

OP means not geographical area, but sector of industry:

i.e. manufactures of hobs, hoods, ovens.

P.S. I'd start with ordering catalogues (for free): http://www.callde.co.uk/manufacturers_contact_details.asp

I would do some online research to find the type/price of appliance you think fits in with your lifestyle. Also visit your local retailers (Comet, Currys and independant outlets) to get some "hands on" experience of the products. I really liked the look of the range-style cookers a couple of years ago. Close-up, I found the cheaper ones looked lovely from the outside, but had razor sharp edges inside. Consider ease of cleaning and solid build over cosmetic bells and whistles!
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.

I used https://www.trade-appliances.co.uk for my dish washer. Good service and great discounts.
