HSBC Balance transfer suggestions

HI, i'm currently looking to move around 400 quid off a credit card so i can get rid, i'm intending to move this onto my HSBC card which i've had for nearly 10 years or so, which has got a pretty high limit but barely used. I just want to get it all in one place.

I'm just wondering if theres anyway to approach this to see if i can 'acquire' a BT offer or reduced interest on the BT, i can see they've got offers on for new applicants for x amount of interest free months but as a (long time) existing customer i can't say i've ever seen anything for us loyal folk already there.

Aby advice or suggestions gratefully received.

As far as I know there is some sort of procedure there for people who have seen the new offers for new customers, and want something similar. The credit cards teams are based abroad, but give them a call and see what they can give you.

If you mention bringing all the debts into one place there's certainly someone there with the authority to give you something better.

Try telling HSBC you're considering going with some other cc provider, that they're offering you 0% for x period with no handling fee ... ask if they can match that offer. Sometimes the threat of leaving is enough to prompt a cc provider to tempt you with counter-offers. Worth a try, don't you think?
