Help please - how long does this take?

Hello, apologies if the answer to this is elsewhere and I've not found it ; Have just applied online to cityitunes for the lifetime of balance loan, ready to transfer it as recommended to the egg money card. However time is of the essence for me and at the end of the application it just said decision notified in 4-7 days, and card sent within 7-10 days. Now I dont know whether its worth applying for the egg money card( dont know how long that takes to be up and running), because if I cant get this loan NOW theres no point in continuing. So, my question is - in reality, does anyone know roughly how long all of this takes? Would welcome input. Many thanks.

Egg Money states at maximum 3 days for the application to be completed. With regards to getting a card sent out you could be looking anything between 5-10 working days.

The time taken to process a credit card application and balance transfer request varies between card companies. The best deals are often heavily advertised and lenders are sometimes flooded with applications.

Egg is pretty efficient and is known to have a faster turnaround than most. Judging from posts to this board though, Citi can be slow.
