HC2 form

I am soon to become a full-time post-grad student for one year and am hoping to be able to get a discount on the costs of dental treatment, prescriptions etc. I can't seem to find much info, however. I fear aged 27 I may not be entitled to much. Any tips? If anyone has info on what else I may be entitled to I'd very much appreciate it. Cheers!

Unless you have children or you are disabled, you would not be entitled to IS, HB, CTB etc whilst studying.

Help with health costs is available if you are on a low income, and have less than £16K of capital.
    Gone ... or have I?

You want the HC1 form, HC2 is a letter they issue after they recieve the HC1 form and this would entitle you to free NHS treatment. If you are over the threshold (sorry not sure what said threshold is) you may get an HC3 issued that will give you a percentage off of NHS costs and you will be expected to fund the rest.

Didn't want to start another thread, as I have a related question. I've finally been awarded WTC with Disability element and I'm a student. Do I need to fill in a HC2 form or am I entitled anyway now?

I got a card in the post about 6 weeks after my tax credit was awarded so I assume the same will happen for you. If not give help with health costs a call as the card came from them direct and not the tax credit office.
