Post Office CC - Missed 1st Month Payment :(

Hi,
My wife has a Post Office CC and she missed her 1st Month Payment as we were on holiday and she received the letter the evening we got back.
She got charged a late fee for this mistake.
She says that now she has missed the 1st payment, she will now have to pay interest every month from now on - is this correct and if so what is the best step to take from here as obviously we cannot afford to pay the interest each month.
Would appreciate your thoughts on this matter.
Kind Regards,
Chris

she was told her statement date and payment date when she received her card info pack... no way she wouldnt have known.
she wont get her intro rate back as she defaulted b4 she even started, best thing is to pay off and cancel card and try elsewhere. you can try and ask them to reinstate but i highly doubt she'l get far.0 -

Ring them up m8, grovel like you have never groveled before, people on here have got the 0% back again so it,s worth a try.0

They may re-instate the promotional rate if you speak to them nicely and explain how the oversight came about.
For a "first offence" like this, there have been many reports of people getting the promotional rate re-instated like this.0
