Lucky you!
I've just had this from Empire:
"Thank you for your email.
Unfortunately, we have no trace of your order and apologise if this was an
error.
Could you please re-submit your order in the normal way.
We have now activated your account, please allow 24 hours for our system to
update and you will then be able to access your account.
Kind regards
Bo***e U*****
Empire Customer Care Advisor"
This is after an e-mail confirmation of the order, and further confirmation from them saying that my welcome gifts were ready for despatch. And I have today been sent two (irrelevantly identical) mailings from them by post.
Of course, if I "re-submit your order in the normal way" it will cost me £45 in addition to that already paid -the dalek is now £59.99 (I paid £15 with a voucher).
Why am I at exactly the same point I was 12 months ago when I made my first ever order with them, for which again I had confirmation but again after several weeks of waiting, they "had no trace" of my order and I vowed never to deal with them again? Funny how when I managed to log onto my account earlier this week I found trace of that order!
It's my own fault - I should know what they're like - I've seen enough posts....
