Missed payment

I accidentally missed the minimum payment on a o% credit card and paid it about a week late. As a result I have lost the 0% deal. I have never missed a payment before. I opened this card 8months ago, did a balance transfer of £8k, the balance is now £6k but the interest on that amount will be really high. Should I try to get another balance transfer? Will this one error affect my credit rating?
PS yes I know Martin's advice - never, ever, ever miss paying the minimum payment!!

Can you not contact your cc provider and ask them to reinstate your 0% deal? It's not unheard of, especially if you've never missed a payment before. Worth trying first, before contemplating switching to another card.
If you ever miss a payment, make sure you make up for it the very next time. If you let it slide and it stays on your payment history, once it reaches past a certain number of days without being paid, it'll go down on your credit report as a black mark.
p/s: here's a word of advice - be nice to the rep, you'll get better service than if you went in with guns blazing.0
