Hi - can anyone help? I got through to the page to register but when I tried to add my account number it just wouldn't register any numbers at all. My phone is a samsung G600.

No, you have to pay with the Clubcard Plus to get the double points. If you pay by another means and use it as a normal clubcard, you will only get single points. Though I may have read that as long as you pay part of the balance on the Clubcard Plus, you will get double points on the whole transaction. Someone else may be able to clarify that.

I have a combined Tesco Club Card/Credit card and my understanding is that I get double points.

Any more news on this offer it sounds great?

I just called Tesco customer service to ask if I would get multiple points if I bought multiple items (ie 200pts for buying 2 pots of Marmite) and the man said that he has no idea and had no knowledge of the deal, but that he would imagine that the bulk buy policy would apply. ie, you might get away with buying a few of the same item and getting multiple points, but not loads.Still no clearer then!!!

Ditto, i've registered and can't wait to rack up the points! Thanks so much OP :D
  • hi, I just want to check that I'm not being really stupid and have got my sums right. I'm trying to decide between the clubcardplus account and the tesco credit card. I'm thinking that CCplus account on £4 spending would give me 8 points and the credit card would give me 5 points plus my usual 4 points making 9 points.

Therefore the credit card is the better one to go for right?

    thanks, Ging x

You are right about the clubcardplus, you get 2 points per pound spent in tesco instead of 1. (So on a spend of £4 you get 8 points)
The new tesco credit card gets you 1 point for every £4 you spend, so if you spent £4 in Tesco you would get 4 points (1 for each £) plus 1 for each £4 on your credit card so 5 in total. So you would get more points with the clubcardplus!
The older credit card (like mine :D) gives you 1 point for every £2 spent + 1 per £ spent in Tesco giving you 6 points so still not as good as CCP.

No you don't get double points.
You get the 1 per £ spent in Tesco + either 1 for every £4 you spend (if it is a recently opened credit card) OR 1 for every £2 you spend (if it is an older card).
I am not sure when Tesco changed the rate of points collected, but it was in the last 4 or 5 years I think.

The advantage of the credit card/clubcard is that you get points on money spent anywhere. If you use it for everything they really mount up. We bought a car with ours - paid the money in advance to the card.Lots of points.
