I've just opened my Tesco Finest Credit card bill, and there is a code for me to get 500 points if I spend £30 on clothes online. It says it's an individual code, so I'm not sharing it!. But thought this might be useful, just in case there is anyone that doesn't read all the inserts fully.

Could be missing a trick here, we get all our statements online, so have never had these offers. There was one a while ago about wine if I remember.

Dilemma - saving paper vs boosting tesco points...

Maybe you should ring them up and ask them for a code.

And I shred the paper. Honest. :T

There's also a free Tesco mag instore at the moment, giving 100 bonus points when you spend £10 on finest items. Usually counts before any discounts so would be easy to get on the £10 meal deal.

Or even get 5 boxes of earl grey £10.95 would total 620 points for a £10.95 spend.

  • My Tesco car insurance is coming up for renewal. Have shopped around for other quotes but its still the best price. RAC coming in very close on like for like policy but I could get £70 cash back through Quidco for new policy. Last year same thing happened and when I called Tesco to cancel, lovely lady offered me 2000 clubcard points (£80 in deals). Think it was also her introduction to Quidco as she was very interested when I explained how it worked. Just phoned them again to try my luck this year and bingo the loyalty department have given me another 2000 points!!!!
My 21 year old son tried to do this in January but accepted a £300 reduction in his premium instead, which he was more than happy with!

Anyone thinking about taking out tesco insurance can get additional points if they are recommended by a friend who has insurance. If you need a "friend" there are lots of car insurance, pet insurance etc friends on ebay. I am waiting for mine to come up for renewal.:rotfl:

Is this in store?. As we had the clubcard statement yesterday and there was a single voucher for 50 extra points for PG 160 or 240 pack of teabags. Never notice these bonus offers in store to be honest. Or are these un-advertised bonus offers only via online shopping?.

in my local store there was only a sign up for the 25pts teabags. I purchased the Finest Earl gray ones (without any sign saying 100pts) and i had 50pts for it at the bottom of my receipt.

So not sure what happened there

If you're looking for breakdown insurance, then a miswording in Tesco's Terms and Conditions is worth expoliting, alsoo adding to your clubcard points.

This is particularily useful to 2 car households.

If you check page 8 of the T's and C's of Tesco's (Green Flag ) Breakdown policy, you will see that the definition of "insured vehicle" is

"Insured Vehicle: any vehicle we have agreed to cover and any vehicle you or your spouse/
partner are travelling in, provided it complies with the vehicle specifications described in
    General Condition 10. "

This effectively give a Personal Cover, not a vehicle specific cover, saving over £100 on a Green Flag, 2 person policy!

Tesco are looking at changing the wording on this, so act quickly.

If you have a policy already and paid an additional premium of £40, then I would consider contacting Tesco Finance to ask why, when without the additional premimium, youre already covered?
