Sorry to p155 on your bonfire, but you only get points for aluminium cans not steel ones, i found this out after putting in over 100 beer cans and 12 pop cans, i got 6 points, then noticed the little sign saying 1 point for every 2 ALUMINIUM cans. Hey ho we live and learn

Is the deal about points for recycling just on certain sites as I have never seen anything in our local Tesco about it and nothing fitted to the recycling bins.

I converted my vouchers to Airmiles for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I didn't have an account with Airmiles so I'm waiting for it to be opened. I received a letter from Airmiles welcoming me to Airmiles and stated that I could sign up online but I need a membership number to sign up! Anyone know how/when this memership number is given? Do I have to wait for it in the post?

you get an info pack through the post with all your details on. Then once you log on and update your details, you usually get 50miles free.

I've just opened my Tesco Finest Credit card bill, and there is a code for me to get 500 points if I spend £30 on clothes online. It says it's an individual code, so I'm not sharing it!. But thought this might be useful, just in case there is anyone that doesn't read all the inserts fully.

Yes, that's what I was trying to say, with tins and cans. Just couldn't remember if this had always been the case.

To the other poster, it's only a few stores around the country and very obvious as there's an onscreen display and it asks for your card etc.
