  • Sorry it's probably been asked and answered a hundred times in the thread already but I don't want to trawl through it all and don't want to call an expensive number and chat for ages, so...

    1) I need to know it doesn't charge me (no sneaky charges like a lot of store cards)
    2) Do I get a monthly statement like a bank?
    3) Will it allow me to go overdrawn? As I'd rather a block, and can it be used to partially pay for a shop?
    4) Can it be linked to an account? So that keeps it in credit?

Sorry if it's already been asked! I'll be getting this tomorrow if it won't charge me :D

What type of account are you trying to find out about? Clubcard Plus?

  • Yes, sorry!

I've googled a lot up on it, but would rather an MSE'r having got one answered, than someone paid to pitch it :)

I'm going to give them a call tomorrow if there are no hidden catches :)

Clubcard plus no longer available as far as I understand.

  • Right,
    1) There are no charges for the account but it pays a poor amount of credit interest
    2) Yes, monthly statements are sent and you can register for online banking
    3) If you want an overdraft you need to apply for one, it will decline if there are insufficient funds in there. I'm not sure about using it to partially pay for a shop though.
    4) I cannot be linked to another account to automatically top it up but you can setup a monthly Direct Debit and pay cash in over the customer services counter to supplement the account.

I did hear somewhere that they are not accepting new applications but could be wrong.
    The number should you need it is 08457 10 40 10 or (0800 406050 option 2)

    Hope this helps

  • My vouchers arrived today! Gonna convert them into Airmiles.
  • I got my vouchers today. £109 for one quarter (not bad for one person living alone, who hasn't bought any phones)!

More than not bad-that's brilliant. I'm in the same situation, and I've got £19 this quarter (though I sometimes shop at Lidl). Any tips?
  • Just to warn people that bought pre orders from Tesco entertainment to check your statements. Make sure you have been credited the points on your account, only 2 of mine were showing of the 5, and also the double points had not been added. I rang customer services and they added last night.
They come under other on the statement.
