Hi, I'm trying to boost my points for the double Airmiles deal and any advice would be appreciated! Me and my partner have a shared Clubcard/Tesco Finest Credit Card, but we dont have the same surname. Today I picked up a new Clubcard instore.. how do we reuse points deals across 2 clubcards?? I registered this new one under a different name and address, can I collect points on this 2nd new card and then merge it before the February mailout??

I have Tesco Pet Insurance - does anyone want to make use of the reccommend a friend scheme for 1000 points each ???

If you are thinking of taking out Pet Insurance (they are very good! Paid out a total of £6500 last year for my moggy).. I would be happy to reccommend you, then I and you too, get 1000 points ! My moggy used to be about £4.50 a month and is now £5.50.

Good God what did they do to it?

  • Well, he got run over, so that was £1500 for a broken ankle op and then he got pancreatitis with hemolytic anaemia.. he ended up in the specialist Feline hospital at Bristol University and the total bill was about £5000! They paid it in full within days of the claim, without even questioning the vet bills. Amazing! So.. I would definetly reccomend Tesco pet insurance, and its only about £5 a month for a 'moggy'.

Checking the site, you can reccommend as many people as you like and you get 1000 points each time. Seems a pretty good way to rack points up!

The current policy will only pay out up to £4K per condition (and that includes any later, connected illnesses) so not a policy I'd choose. Chronic conditions (like arthritis) can be really expensive over a dog's lifetime.
  • Yes but this is a points boosting forum. If you feel your pet is going to be reasonably healthy over the next few months, I would choose Tesco's and take advantage of the 1000 points (is 480 airmiles on their current offer). You can always switch insurers once you have the points. I think £4k per condition is pretty damn good for a moggy !
  • Quick question. Just got a new Tesco clubcard credit card to boost my points and the clubcard number printed on it differs from my one (apart from the first 6 no's). I'm sure I applied with the correct number.

Is this correct and have they given me a new clubcard account?

    Very confused!

Thanks for your help with this.

    Cheers
  • So - as a Christmas present for my wife - one of the many she will receive so don't think me cheap! - I have placed my pre-order for Take That's Greatest Hits via the Tesco Entertainment site linking through the banner for 500 extra points.

    Thanks Martin for the tip!!:money:

At a cost of £8.95 delivered this will give me £20 worth of deal vouchers when I cash in my £5 worth of reward vouchers - thats half a good meal at Bella Italia or Pizza Express! :T

    But will it pay out?

The site only says I will receive 16 points and no mention of the 500 bonus points.

Will have to watch this very carefully at the end of the month when it is issued.

What is the experience of others with this offer?
  • Also stated that the extra points are credited before the statement is due in Febuary and do not show up in the receipt given.

Now that answers my question fully.:T

I have only ordered the one item so the 500 points can go towards my birthday slap up tea at Mrs. Miggins'

You will get separate points for your credit card and they will show up on your statement as points from Tesco Personal Finance.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D
