Apartment in Paris - Advice/Recommendations

It's that time of year, and we've decided to go to Paris.

However rather than stay at a hotel, I quite fancy an apartment.

Has anyone got any websites they can recommend to find a suitable place?

It would be a two bed, for 2 adults (3 if the mother in law comes), and 2 small children, should that be relevant.
Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?

Hi, we've stayed in apartments twice in Paris and IMO, it's the best way to do it.

We booked one through http://www.craigslist.org and the other through http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk

Also, have a look at http://www.all-paris-apartments.com/en/

It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

thanks. having a look now. one looks a little suspect (no interior or exterior photos), but there is one, so we shall see.

I would avoid going to Paris in August as that's when the locals go on holiday - hang on until Sept if possible. ALso, Ryanair are doing cheap flights in Sept, so you might find something there as well.

That's one of the main reasons I am going, because it's considerably less busy. Went last year and really really enjoyed it.

Plus it the school holidays and I'm governed by that (although next year I will probably take them out to go to Florida, due to the price differences.

    Hi markelock,

Wondering if you've had any luck and if so which company you rented through. Also wondering can anyone tell me if Boulevard Haussmann, 9th Opera is a reasonable district/area to stay in.?

    Thanks

After a lot of searching, I went with paris attitude, a lovely one bed in montmartre, not too near the murky moulin rouge, and beautifully decorated.

I'm not familiar with 9th to be honest, looks like there is a gallery there, see here

Can`t help with rentals but the Opera/ Bvd Hausmann areas are fine to stay in....
