Small set-back, it turns out that the reason my bank balance is £0.00 is because some b@stard has got my card details from somewhere and been living it up on the net - luckily most the transactions were declined but the one that went through was enough to take me over my limit - so my card has now been cancelled and I'm back to square one for a few weeks (until I get the money back).

This has shaken me up, but for once there's an upside to having no money!! They would have got away with a lot more if that wasn't the case. :rotfl:

I am puzzled as to where they got the details from, as I haven't used that card in aaaages! They also aren't showing on my statement, as I check it everyday. Very odd! The only thing I can think of is Paypal.

So...my sig is wrong now, and I'l have to start all over again. I guess these moments are sent to test us.

Perhaps you need to change your PayPal security details too
Rotten thing to happen but try and think of it as enforced savings as you will get the money back eventually

I've just done that now - hope it's not that but can't think of anywhere else they would have got it from.

I know what you mean though, I'm so glad I'll get it back. Just not nice to see your balance as £0.00! :rotfl:

Some months over the past year I would've been very happy that it was just £0.00 and not -£300 and the rest :rotfl: Although have to say past few months I've actually managed to stay in credit thanks to MSE :T

I have made a payment today of £1 to capital one (i had made a proper payment at the end of last week) as this is my highest single debt at £455 (less than £500 now :j ) i am feeling very smug and happy . I intend to pay between 50p and £1 everyday to this. I know it isnt a lot of extra money but it all helps.

I am back to feeling positive

    :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T

EDIT: Forgot to say, this is my 1st time at doing this challenge within a couple of months i'm hoping my £1 will be £1.50.

  • Afternoon all,

I have paid £1.34 into my online savings account so that when I have enough I can give SIL an extra payment. It does bring the debt down a bit as I know that I can't spend it :)

Just off to update my sig now.
  • Happy September everyone!

Have found £4 in silver change around the house, so will nip to the bank after kids finish lunch and pay £4 off one of my debts!

Oooh...now which lucky debt gets the money today...?!
  • Well not a very good start to my challenge :( turns out my cc has canceled my agreed monthly payment plan due to a payment being late over the bank hol :(
Still going to save up the money everyday and then just pay it off once i have set up another payment plan. :o
So another £10 saved for today :)
