As I understand it, all the big money lenders know about the MSE site, as loopholes that benefit the customer are so often revealed on here. I have a picture in my head of everyone at Egg frantically looking for some new ruling that means if you pay off £1 a day for 3 months, the rest of the debt must be written off! :rotfl:

Another £1 each to Egg and Next from me today. :)

that sounds about right lol i dont see they would be too worried as they should appreciate any payments but they are prob sat brainstorming now how to stop it :rotfl:
  • Well I have just checked the bank and all accounts are on an even £10 so do I transfrer £10 to savings or if I empty my purse of all my change and put it in my sealed jar, am I still on track.

  • Hi,

I finally got my tin for saving. Decided against the terramunda as I thought I could use the £15 in better ways, so £1 later at poundland I got a tin that i'll need to open with a tinopener when it's full!! Put all of my last weeks daily pounds in it & a £2 coin I found.

Paid £2.69 to next on online banking.

This thread is so good, we will all have a great big smile:D :D:D when we get next months statements in (expecially the 30 page ones that have:eek: all the £1 a day payments:D :D:D

    keep it up:A

I've just checked my visa online and the smaller payments aren't showing - how strange. The £10 payment shows but not the £2's that were paid before. I'll check it again on Monday, A&L are very slow in updating.

In the meantime, I've paid another pound across - do hope it's not going to never-never land!

Maybe they only update balances one a week/month etc, so as to keep charging you interest - might be worth checking out - if they do would be better putting your overpayments into your own account, and paying in the day before the calculate the interest.

Great challange, might have to take this one up myself!
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Current Pay Off Target : £1500
